Neil Young Finsbury Park, London MP3

Neil Young Finsbury Park, London imageSince completing 1993’s ‘Southern Man’, Neil Young fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lead single “Southern Man” and “Helpless” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is no doubt that Neil Young has talent. Southern Man and Helpless is really good.

Helpless - This is a very lively song. Like A Hurricane is the funkiest number on the album. Powderfinger is absolutely incredible. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Only Love from the beginning to the end. Harvest Moon still maintains something of a specific flourish. I like to sing along with The Needle and The Damage Done, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay had me crying as I was able to relate so well. All Along The Watchtower stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Rockin’ In The Free World is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite.
