There is no doubt that National Velvet has talent. Wildseed carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Since completing 1995’s ‘Prize’, National Velvet fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If you want to hear real Pop, get this record now!
Salvation - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Life Force (3:28) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Rite Of Way is so unique, as each one of the songs is. In Shut Up the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Trouble great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. The song A Summer’s Eve ending is my favorite… so catchy! The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Take Charge is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I like the agression and power of Lay Down. Reprise is simple, dignified and effective, National Velvet refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
