seven years ago, Mynta briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sabir Khan Song”. On the Mexico charts, superstar Mynta’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. While no new Mynta album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in North America. If I may, I suggest “Hymn Of India”. That one song is amazing!
Sabir Khan Song is the first taste of the new album. M’Bira (Intro) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Some call M’Bira from Hot Madras as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Hot Madras - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Some of the arrangements found on Hot Madras are surprisingly edgy. Benam - Check out that bassline! Bombay Kebab is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Mynta ever produced. No Mynta song has come close to capturing my attention as Last Forest did. Felicita is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Banfora (Intro) is possibly the best song Mynta has come up. Banfora presents the amazing mix of instruments on Hot Madras. Morning Romance (4:30) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs.
