For older fans Giorgino will put a massive smile accross your face. I am not a real Soundtrack music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Giorgino’ really is amazing. This disc has all of the essential Mylene Farmer classics. Such great and happy songs.
Le Vent Et La Neige is just simply stunning. I’ve found myself listening to La Route De Chanteloup back to back and back many times. Voice and instruments in Les Montagnes Noires complement each other. En Caleche - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. I like to sing along with A Catherine, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Giorgino - Theme has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Mylene Farmer’s strong vocals come to the fore. Levee Du Corps is the albums biggest surprise. L’abbe Glaise is a amazing sing-along. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Opening track La Nursery shows the best of Mylene Farmer. Retour A L’orphelinat is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. L’armistice - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Mylene Farmer. Giorgio Et Catherine is one of my favorite songs by Mylene Farmer. Mylene Farmer is hitting on all cylinders in Docteur Degrace. Morts Pour La France is Mylene Farmer’s best work in years. I came to like Les Femmes Dans L’eglise. Les Funerailles defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I like Petit Georges because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Sombres Souvenirs makes a person feel marvelous. Mylene Farmer has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. What sets Menteur apart is Mylene Farmer’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Strong, powerful vocals of Mylene Farmer in Le Marais are very impressive. It’s such an underrated song.
