Pictures At An Exhibition defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Prelude To Coronation Scene (Boris Godunov) to me is the best you can get from Mussorgsky. Although Monologue Of Boris (Boris Godunov) is very melodic it is far from sad. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in The Best Of Mussorgsky. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
