This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Muslimgauze has. This is one of the best Cd’s Muslimgauze has dropped to date. To me Muslimgauze is the best band ever.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Fatwa marked the continuation of Muslimgauze in style evolution. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Muslimgauze. I loved Tonton Macoutes I the first time I heard it. Lyrics of Emeute are precise and evocative. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Music in Sapere Aude is marvelous as in all tracks of Coup D’etat. Within the first few notes of Jarnail Singh it’s perfectly clear that Muslimgauze is living this song. Tabula Rasa Ii - Okay, I just talked about depth. Some of the arrangements found on Coup D’etat are surprisingly edgy.
