Since completing 1994’s ‘A pulia tochno znaet…’, Mongol SHuudan fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Mongol SHuudan’s new album to that on ‘Gomericheskiy hohot’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It has been one years Mongol SHuudan’ last studio CD, “Gomericheskiy hohot” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Overall, I would highly recommend Gomericheskiy hohot CD.
Bey zhidov - spasay Rossiiu has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Mongol SHuudan’s strong vocals come to the fore. Mongol SHuudan sings CHastushki in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Gomericheskiy hohot. After few listenings I started to like CHto-to stalosia so mnoy more and more. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Ehali kazaki is a gorgeous, simple song by Mongol SHuudan at the top of his game. Some of the arrangements found on Gomericheskiy hohot are surprisingly edgy. I hope to keep hearing Mongol SHuudan works for a long time to come. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In Razvedka you won’t find any flashy solos. Rusish shvayn - arguably the best track on Gomericheskiy hohot album.
