Mondo Grosso’s debut, ‘The European Expedition’, does not fit easily into one genre. On The European Expedition album, Mondo Grosso have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is so much to love about Mondo Grosso, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. That’s how it is (Live Version) and Invisible Man (live) is really good.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Invisible Man (live), which shows, blatantly, how much Mondo Grosso has evolved as a singer. Once Souffles H (live) gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Anger (Live Version) is the more seemingly obscure song on The European Expedition that bear up best to repeated listening. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Espirito, Alleglia, Emosau (live) is the album’s biggest hit, I think. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Pivot Throw I just LOVE this mix! Buddha (live) is a good listen every once in a while.
