I am not a real Electronic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Deep Space’ really is amazing. Since Model 500 last CD (Deep Space) on Columbia Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This ten-song debut EP shows the promise that Model 500 has. One of Model 500’s best albums yet.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Orbit, which shows, blatantly, how much Model 500 has evolved as a singer. Some of the arrangements found on Deep Space are surprisingly edgy. Warning is one of the best records ever. Astralwerks is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Deep Space. Starlight marked the continuation of Model 500 in style evolution. I find myself hearing bits of Last Transport (To Alpha Centauri) here and there throughout my waking hours. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Light Speed is a song to enjoy for years to come.
