This album has some very good songs like Successeur and Deja Vu. Olympia 95 carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. On the Portugal charts, superstar Michel Sardou’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Smart music for smart people.
I find myself hearing bits of Deja Vu here and there throughout my waking hours. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Parlons de Toi, de Moi is my favorite song on Olympia 95. Deux ecoles gets you up and jumping. En Chantant great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Nice and different song. Michel Sardou has astounded me with this amazing track. In Je Vais T’Aimer full palet of sound is used by Michel Sardou to accentuate the presentation. It’s such an underrated song. Marie-Jeanne is a perfect song and it grows on you. Michel Sardou sings his heart out in Privilege. Some call Ma Premiere Femme, Ma Femme from Olympia 95 as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Album opener Vladimir Ilitch is a bright, upbeat ditty. Strong, powerful vocals of Michel Sardou in Putain de Temps are very impressive. Je Me Souviens d’Un Adieu is one of my favorite songs by Michel Sardou. I have all of Michel Sardou’s tracks and Bac G. is probably the most his introspective effort. I can’t stop humming along Rouge. Mefie-Toi on T’Aime is Michel Sardou’s best work in years. I like to sing along with Elle en Aura Besoin Plus Tart, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Once you hear Autre Femme, you will listen to it over and over. The sound in Lacs du Connemara is really warm and Michel Sardou’s signature voice is still very much present. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Afrique Adieu gives taste of what makes Michel Sardou special as a musician.
