Michel Sardou was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Michel Sardou and Bercy 93 together. On the Spain charts, superstar Michel Sardou’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This disc has all of the essential Michel Sardou classics. I Love Bercy 93 from start to finish!
Afrique Adieu is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Ma Memoire Et Mourir De Plaisir is a bit different from Michel Sardou stereotypical stuff. J’accuse is a song to enjoy for years to come. Some of the arrangements found on Bercy 93 are surprisingly edgy. Le Privilege is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. 1965 is perfect work of Michel Sardou. Je Vais T’aimer make listening to Michel Sardou like being in some sort of time warp. 55 Jours 55 Nuits is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Don’t judge Le Bac G on the first listening. Divorce A L’amitie - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Best song on the album, love it. This song may be the most meaningful. Mefie Toi On T’aime still maintains something of a specific flourish. L’autre Femme one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Michel Sardou rocks harder than ever with Le Grand Reveil. After about the third Les Lacs Du Connemara listen through, I began to believe this song is Michel Sardou’s essence. L’an Mil is the more seemingly obscure song on Bercy 93 that bear up best to repeated listening. Some call Comme D’habitude from Bercy 93 as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Musulmanes is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. I now have Aujourd’hui Peut Etre as one of my personal favorites. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Etre Et Ne Pas Avoir Ete (Version Studio) from the beginning to the end.
