Now signed to Michael Stearns and Ron Sunsinger’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Singing Stones” leads Michael Stearns and Ron Sunsinger’s back-to-school campaign. On Singing Stones album, Michael Stearns and Ron Sunsinger have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Singing Stones isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This album is awesome.
Invocation (2:54) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Shadows & Light is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I find myself hearing bits of Petroglyphs here and there throughout my waking hours. Stone People - For me, this is the best of the album. Ghost Dance is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Singing Stones. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Subterranean Garden is Michael Stearns and Ron Sunsinger’s best work in years. Some call Shadows from Singing Stones as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Honoring Stone Magic - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Return Of The Red Hat is really the reason why I recommend buying Singing Stones.
