This disc has all of the essential Michael Gira classics. This album has some very good songs like You See Throught Me and Where Does Your Body Begin. Now signed to Michael Gira’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Drainland” leads Michael Gira’s back-to-school campaign. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Michael Gira rocks harder than ever with Where Does Your Body Begin. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Unreal is a bit different from Michael Gira stereotypical stuff. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Fan Letter from the beginning to the end. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Low Life Form catches attention immediately, If You … is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Drainland. I can’t stop humming along Why I Ate My Wife. This track is full of harmonies and gets Drainland off to a relaxing start.
