There is so much to love about Merle Haggard, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Untamed Hawk CD5 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is one of the best Cd’s Merle Haggard has dropped to date. This is what good Country should be.
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This is one hell of a track. I Think We’re Livin’ In The Good Old Days without a doubt is the standout song of Untamed Hawk CD5. Somewhere On Skid Row - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I like Who Do I Know In Dallas because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Folsom Prison Blues is a fine track on any terms. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. You’re Not Home Yet - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This track is full of harmonies and gets Untamed Hawk CD5 off to a relaxing start. I Just Want To Look At You One More Time (3:05) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Still going through Untamed Hawk CD5 and coming to appreciate I’m Bringin’ Home Good News more and more with every listen. A fantastic track full of wonder. I was truly moved when I heard I Can’t Hold Myself In Line. I’m Free is a very catchy tune. It Meant Goodbye To Me When You Said Hello To Him - Check out that bassline! In Who’ll Buy The Wine full palet of sound is used by Merle Haggard to accentuate the presentation. She Thinks I Still Care - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Merle Haggard. I came to like What’s Wrong With Stayin’ Home. When No Flowers Grows (3:40) - awsome. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Hungry Eyes was the first single release from the album Untamed Hawk CD5. Silver Wings is the perfect blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
