There is no doubt that Melt Banana has talent. This album has some very good songs like Tail In Garbage (Tekepake) and Bragg. Speak Squeak Creak isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Speak Squeak Creak is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Bragg is a striking and quite long song. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Scrubber is the more seemingly obscure song on Speak Squeak Creak that bear up best to repeated listening. Once So Unfilial Rule gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. First time I heard Dust Head was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Song A Teaspoon Of Salt is actually a funny song. I can’t stop humming along Stick Out. I believe Mouse Is A Biscuit is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. 55 Hands Need To Cut Down - arguably the best track on Speak Squeak Creak album. P-Pop-Slop is another strong production from Melt Banana. Smell The Medicine as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Only one song from Speak Squeak Creak named Switch really got me. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Melt Banana allows each song to breathe and flourish. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Cry For More Fish (0:19) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! The opening track Screw, Loose is very much like you would expect from other albums. One listen to the sheer beauty of Cook Cool Kyau Kuru was all I needed. Scissor Quiz - another great track from the Speak Squeak Creak album. Too Many To Dispose has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Melt Banana’s strong vocals come to the fore. Blandished Hatman makes a person feel amazing. Cut Off - A strong beat. Pierced Eye is a very catchy tune. (Untitled) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations.
