On Anime Pigre album, Matia Bazar have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Matia Bazar comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Anime Pigre carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Matia Bazar is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Soli Ci Si Perde - a classic song. Lungo Il Po good vocals. Du Du Du is almost impossible to review. Sei Come Me one of the best in my collection. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. C’era Una Volta sets the tone for the entire album. Listening to Un Cuore In Gioco you can hear that Matia Bazar has still amazing chemistry with band members. Su Puo Ricominciare is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
