When you buy a Masquerade album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Surface Of Pain carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Surface Of Pain isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is my first Masquerade Album and i must say i am blown away.
One listen to the sheer beauty of Say Your Prayer was all I needed. I think State of Grace is the best song Masquerade has ever done. Suffering on Surface Of Pain is solid and easy to listen to. End of Nothing is nothing but pure genius. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Masquerade. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. In Violation Masquerade is at his best. Feels Good - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Wasteland - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Mercy Me is such a perfect and optimistic song that things can get just better. Free My Mind rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
