This is the first studio album from Mark Jenkins since bad diagnosis in 1992. On the Iceland charts, superstar Mark Jenkins’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. sixteen years ago, Mark Jenkins briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Swimotion”. Unappreciated gift to Electronic: Progressive
Swimotion one is one of the better boring ones. Star Driving - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Planetarium (4:54) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. After you’ve listened to Sun Chaser, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Spun Glass. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Pianissimo is my favorite song on Space Dreams 1. Aurora Borealis (4:45) - awsome. Simple and heartfelt closing track Ming Dynasty closes Space Dreams 1 on a high note. Mark Jenkins is one of artists that allow his songs like Iceman to stand on their own and be heard. In Harlequin it becomes nowhere more obvious that Mark Jenkins has yet to define own style. Some of the arrangements found on Space Dreams 1 are surprisingly edgy. Pan Galactic is perfect. I was truly moved when I heard Hearts Of Space.
