Since Marc Almond last CD (Adored And Explored) on Savoy Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. ‘Adored And Explored’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Marc Almond was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Marc Almond and Adored And Explored together. If I may, I suggest “Adored and Explored (7” edit)”. That one song is amazing!
Opening track Adored and Explored (beatmaste…) shows the best of Marc Almond. Adored and Explored (andy meec…) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Adored and Explored (x press 2…) is simple, dignified and effective, Marc Almond refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Adored and Explored (kung fu m…) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
