Since Madredeus last CD (Lisbon Vol.2) on ForeFront Records back in 1992, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like A Cantiga Do Campo and Amanhu. Self-described as Ethnic with lots of words, Madredeus comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. To me Madredeus is the best band ever.
Amanhu good vocals. Still going through Lisbon Vol.2 and coming to appreciate A Sombra more and more with every listen. Madredeus has astounded me with this amazing track. I like to sing along with A Estrada Do Monte, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. A Vaca De Fogo - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. A Confissao is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. A fantastic track full of wonder. O Menino is one of the best records ever. Fado Do Mindelo rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. O Pastor is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations.
