‘Lisbon Vol.1′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There were many famous songs of Madredeus available. Self-described as Ethnic with lots of words, Madredeus comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Madredeus “Lisbon Vol.1″ is an amazing album.
Charming song, great melody. A Peninsula - Okay, I just talked about depth. Cuidado is so unique, as each one of the songs is. O Ladrio is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. O Pomar Das Laranjeiras is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Madredeus released so far. No Madredeus song has come close to capturing my attention as Mudar De Vida did. Within the first few notes of Canto De Embalar it’s perfectly clear that Madredeus is living this song. O Navio is one of these floating songs. O Pastor is the song that really did it for me. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. A Vontade De Mudar as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature.
