While no new Madonna album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1990 tour in Africa. Madonna’s debut, ‘The Immaculate Collection’, does not fit easily into one genre. In Lucky Star Madonna is at his best. Borderline - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. What sets Like A Virgin apart is Madonna’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. First time I heard Material Girl was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Crazy For You is the most memorable and excellent. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Madonna is one of artists that allow his songs like Live To Tell to stand on their own and be heard. I like Papa Don’t Preach because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Open Your Heart had me crying as I was able to relate so well. La Isla Bonita - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Madonna. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Cherish is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Justify My Love - I like this one. Some of the arrangements found on The Immaculate Collection are surprisingly edgy.
