After seeing Sainte Luce, I had to have a good Lydie Auvray cd. Lydie Auvray’s debut, ‘Tango Terrible’, does not fit easily into one genre. This disc has all of the essential Lydie Auvray classics. This is my first Lydie Auvray Album and i must say i am blown away.
Vini Danse is cool song though, very addictive. Musically Tango Terrible is superior to other tracks in Tango Terrible. No Lydie Auvray song has come close to capturing my attention as Cannelle did. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Sati(E)Sfaction is a astounding, simple song by Lydie Auvray at the top of his game. Jon stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Choco Flanel, which shows, blatantly, how much Lydie Auvray has evolved as a singer. Poseidon is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Tango Terrible have ended. Tivoli hits the heart. Septante is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever.
