This album has some very good songs like Thanks A Lot and It’s A Good Day. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Lowell Fulson’s new album to that on ‘It’s a Good Day’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This disc has all of the essential Lowell Fulson classics. One of Lowell Fulson’s best albums yet.
It’s A Good Day one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. The first time I listened to Ten More Shows I was struck by its marvelous sound. Your Love For Me Is Gone (4:22) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I’m Tough is the more seemingly obscure song on It’s a Good Day that bear up best to repeated listening. In Keep That Smile the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. I can’t stop humming along Slow Down Baby. Blues And My Guitar is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Opening track One More Blues shows the best of Lowell Fulson. Once you hear Push On, you will listen to it over and over.
