This seven-song debut EP shows the promise that Lou Donaldson has. Lead single “Blues Walk” and “Move” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Lou Donaldson’s album Blues Walk falls to No. 2 with 779,000, a sales slide of 58%. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Music in Move is exquisite as in all tracks of Blues Walk. The Masquerade Is Over sets the tone for the entire album. Put Play Ray into car stereo for your highway driving Autumn Nocturne can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Lou Donaldson is all about. When I listen to Callin All Cats in my car when traffic ain’t going so good.
