This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Los Incas has. There were many famous songs of Los Incas available. There is no doubt that Los Incas has talent. This album is in perfect progression from Los Incas!
Tema De Maimara is a song to enjoy for years to come. Rio Abierto which is my favorite is a truly Los Incas sounding song. Alegria - a classic song. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is No Te Cases Con El. In Ya Es La Hora the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Aguita De Puthina is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. After you’ve listened to Munahuanqui, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. El Serranito one of the best in my collection. Huaca Tokhoris is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. De Lejos Parece Un Humo is probably the most interesting track on Alegria. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. What sets Funeral Del Topa Inca apart is Los Incas’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Marcha De Las Pulgas - For me, this is the best of the album.
