Lead single “Solitaire” and “Show Me Heaven” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. ‘The Best Of Branigan’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is no doubt that Laura Branigan has talent. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like The Best Of Branigan.
This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Ti Amo - a classic song. Spanish Eddie - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. The song feels complete. Dim All The Lights is the most memorable and exquisite. Music and lyrics of How Am I Supposed To Live With creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Over You great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.The Lucky One is beautiful, yet underrated track. How Can I Help You Say Goodbye is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Self Control is another strong production from Laura Branigan. Gloria is pretty funky and mellow.
