Since completing 1995’s ‘Breakin’ Away’, Kim Wilde fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This album has some very good songs like Breakin’ Away and High On You. This is one of the best Cd’s Kim Wilde has dropped to date. Now and Forever touched my soul like nothing else.
High On You - a classic song. Although This I Swear is very melodic it is far from sad. Don’t judge C’mon Love Me on the first listening. True To You is simple, dignified and effective, Kim Wilde refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Now and Forever. Sweet Inspiration is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Where Do You Go From Here - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. I listened to the opening track Hold On and liked it a lot. I was truly moved when I heard You’re All I Wanna Do. Life and Soul - another great track from the Now and Forever album. In Now and Forever full palet of sound is used by Kim Wilde to accentuate the presentation. Back To Heaven is almost impossible to review.
