After seeing The Age Of The Irresponsible Captain, I had to have a good Kenji Kawai cd. This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Kenji Kawai has. This album has some very good songs like The Age Of The Irresponsible Captain and Just Think Of Tomorrow (Mari Sasaki). This is one of Kenji Kawai best albums
Just Think Of Tomorrow (Mari Sasaki) is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The Lament Of Lieutenant Yamamoto is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This song may be the most meaningful. Galaxy Burning - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. How Do You Win Like This! is one of these floating songs. I’ve found myself listening to Strange Lover (Mitsuko Kasahara) back to back and back many times. Forward, Tylor! is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Azalyn-Age 16 gives good insight into the truths. Ru Baraba Dom. Warrior is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. A unique and uplifting song. In The Samurai Of Space the music gets its power. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Kenji Kawai sings his heart out in Downtown Dance (Mari Sasaki).
