Jim Jones has compared writing for Karlheinz Stockhausen’s new album to that on ‘Mantra’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. While no new Karlheinz Stockhausen album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Australia. Mantra carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album is a scorcher!
Within the first few notes of Takt 12-61 it’s perfectly clear that Karlheinz Stockhausen is living this song. Takt 62-70 is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Mantra have ended. The first time I listened to Takt 71-88 I was struck by its cool sound. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Takt 109-120 stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Takt 121-131 is a great opener for Mantra. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Mantra couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Takt 152-188. Takt 189-211 is pretty funky and mellow. Takt 212-237 is outstanding work of Karlheinz Stockhausen. Takt 238-261 is absolutely incredible. Don’t judge Takt 262-281 on the first listening. Takt 282-323 motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. A great put together song. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Takt 530-577 is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Karlheinz Stockhausen released so far. Takt 578-608 gives good insight into the truths. The sound of Takt 609-637 is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Takt 638-655 - Karlheinz Stockhausen first major hit. Takt 656-672 is just simply stunning. Takt 673-687 is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Takt 688-854 - This one makes me want to not only sing along. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive.
