Sputniks PECTOPAH isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. J.M.K.E. had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that J.M.K.E. has. Sputniks PECTOPAH constantly brilliant.
Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Begining of Peter Tchaikovsky’ - For me, this is the best of the album. Music of Legendary Sea Holy Baikal is gentle, never overbearing. I can’t stop humming along Part of Peter Tchaikovsky’s co. Warshawianka - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Bravely, Comrades Keep In Step is a good listen every once in a while. Song About Lenin - Check out that bassline! Within the first few notes of So Long, Towns And Cottages it’s perfectly clear that J.M.K.E. is living this song. J.M.K.E. sings Roads in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Moments is such a excellent and optimistic song that things can get just better. Crocodile Ghena’s Song is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Song About The Grasshopper is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Whence The Homeland Begins? - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
