Jimmie Vaughan’s debut, ‘Strange Pleasure Scans’, does not fit easily into one genre. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Jimmie Vaughan on ‘Boom-Bapa-Boom’. thirteen years ago, Jimmie Vaughan briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Don’t Cha Know”. Strange Pleasure Scans touched my soul like nothing else.
Don’t Cha Know (4:21) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Lyrics of Everybody’s Got Sweet Soul V are precise and evocative. The song Flamenco Dancer ending is my favorite… so catchy! Hey-Yeah I just LOVE this mix! This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Love The World is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Six Strings Down one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Strange Pleasure Modern Backporch Duende is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Tilt A Whirl - A nice song. Two Wings - This one is lively and fun.
