This disc has all of the essential Jean Michel Jarre classics. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Jean Michel Jarre energies, virtually a rebirth. Self-described as Electronic with lots of words, Jean Michel Jarre comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Enjoy the show.
Chronologie VI is almost impossible to review. Revolution, Revolutions - Check out that bassline! One listen to the sheer beauty of Chronologie III was all I needed. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Equinoxe VII is my favorite song on Concert Pour La Tolerance. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Jean Michel Jarre. Simple and heartfelt closing track Chronologie IV closes Concert Pour La Tolerance on a high note. Les Chants Magnetiques I is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I’ve found myself listening to Ethnicolor back to back and back many times. Vivaldi Tribute - A strong beat. Revolution Industrielle (ouverture) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. L’orchestre Sous La Pluie is a medium tempo tune. Oxygene IV makes a person feel marvelous. Digisequencer - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Eldorado - For me, this is the best of the album. Calypso is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Discours (1:22) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! It’s such an underrated song.
