While no new Jaramar album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in Asia. Since Jaramar last CD (Entre La Pena Y El Gozo) on Savoy Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. Jaramar had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Jaramar is one of my favourite bands of all time.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Puncha Puncha is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Novia De La Cara Blanca gives good insight into the truths. El Sol, La Luna, El Alba Y El Lucero is Jaramar’s best work in years. Por Amar Una Donzella is probably the most interesting track on Entre La Pena Y El Gozo. Una Pastora Yo Ami is probably one of Jaramar’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I came to like Lloraba La Nina. Ay Un Galan one is one of the better boring ones. La Vida Es Un Pasaje is a fine track on any terms. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Entre La Pena Y El Gozo. This track is a great song that still never gets old. No La Puso Su Madre is a good listen every once in a while. Blew our minds when we first heard Nana Andaluza.
