eight years ago, James Last briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Die Moldau”. Since completing 1994’s ‘Eines Tages’, James Last fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Jim Jones has compared writing for James Last’s new album to that on ‘Classics Super Hits (Cd 1)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Classics Super Hits (Cd 1) is the best essence of James Last.
Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This is one hell of a track. Musically Danse Espagnole is superior to other tracks in Classics Super Hits (Cd 1). I hope to keep hearing James Last works for a long time to come. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Zigeunerweisen is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Adagio - arguably the best track on Classics Super Hits (Cd 1) album. Romance is a amazing song and it grows on you. James Last breathes new life into the music in Berceuse. This track is full of harmonies and gets Classics Super Hits (Cd 1) off to a relaxing start. Intermezzo From Mascagni is the albums biggest surprise. Music in Still As The Night is marvelous as in all tracks of Classics Super Hits (Cd 1). In The Hall Of The Mountain King good vocals. Secound Movement is a exquisite, simple song by James Last at the top of his game. Music and lyrics of Suprise creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Theme has a fun tempo. Presto - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Romance For Violin and Orchestra is another strong production from James Last. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Air From The Suit #3 one is one of the better boring ones. Impromptu #3 still maintains something of a specific flourish. A fantastic track full of wonder. Slavenic Dance is the first taste of the new album. The song Andante From The Violin Concerto ending is my favorite… so catchy! Prelude In C Major is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Andante Fron The Symphony #5 is astounding. All of songs on Classics Super Hits (Cd 1) and have something to say letting alone Ballet Music. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Mondscheinsolate is so unique, as each one of the songs is. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Although Barcarole is very melodic it is far from sad. Prisoners-Choir is nothing but pure genius. Blew our minds when we first heard Hungarian Dance #5. Waltz In A Flat Major - For me, this is the best of the album. March Of The Toreadors - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Habanera on Classics Super Hits (Cd 1) is solid and easy to listen to.
