There were many famous songs of James Last and His Orchestra available. This is the first studio album from James Last and His Orchestra since bad diagnosis in 1993. For older fans My Favourites will put a massive smile accross your face. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Andante (2:56) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Praludium Viii is another strong production from James Last and His Orchestra. This track is full of harmonies and gets My Favourites off to a relaxing start. I listened to the opening track Romance and liked it a lot. Der Fruhling is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Maracaibo is one of the coolest songs James Last and His Orchestra has ever recorded. This is one hell of a track. Rhapsodie In Blue - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Lazy Afternoon is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Romeo Und Julia is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Distant Love is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Praludium I - James Last and His Orchestra first major hit. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Amigos Para Siempre had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Quartett is simply astounding. In Praludium Ii the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
