It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Irina Saltykova energies, virtually a rebirth. Lead single “Celuy” and “Da i net” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Since completing 1995’s ‘Celuy’, Irina Saltykova fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Serye glaza is not something you should pass up.
Da i net (4:01) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Album opener Kukol’nyy dom is a bright, upbeat ditty. Kukol’nyy dom (remix) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Laskovyy dozhd’ very upbeat. My zhivem seychas is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Ne liubliu is marvelous song though, very addictive. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Irina Saltykova sings his heart out in Serye glaza. Strong, powerful vocals of Irina Saltykova in Sokol iasnyy are very impressive.
