Since Inspiral Carpets last CD (The Singles) on Blue Note Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Inspiral Carpets has. There is no doubt that Inspiral Carpets has talent. This is what good Indie should be.
Music of Sackville is gentle, never overbearing. Inspiral Carpets emotions are reflected through Weakness. Inspiral Carpets has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Caravan catches attention immediately, I’ve found myself listening to How It Should Be back to back and back many times. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Uniform is another strong production from Inspiral Carpets. The song feels complete. Nice and different song. This Is How It Feels motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Saturn 5 to me is the best you can get from Inspiral Carpets. I Want You hits the heart. Two Worlds Collide is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. She Comes In The Fall is a medium tempo tune. Move is a amazing sing-along. This is one hell of a track. Find Out Why as a highlight of The Singles contains a ton of marvelous melodies. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
