Since completing 1992’s ‘Belle Epoque’, In The Nursery fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of In The Nursery on ‘Belle Epoque’. This disc has all of the essential In The Nursery classics. Such great and happy songs.
I listened to the opening track Always and liked it a lot. Red Harvest is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. You have to get essence of the Duality’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. After few listenings I started to like Corruption more and more. Opening track Thorns shows the best of In The Nursery. Pulse - I like this one. In The Nursery sings his heart out in A Valediction. There is amazing mix of music in Universe. I like The Engraver because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Mecciano is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
