While no new In Flames album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in South America. In Flames was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from In Flames and The Jester Race together. Ivan Grach has compared writing for In Flames’s new album to that on ‘The Jester Race’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Such great and happy songs.
This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Simple and heartfelt closing track December Flower closes The Jester Race on a high note. The Jester Race is beautiful, yet underrated track. Some of the arrangements found on The Jester Race are surprisingly edgy. Lord Hypnos is a medium tempo tune. Graveland has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets In Flames’s strong vocals come to the fore. Artifacts Of The Black Rain to me is the best you can get from In Flames. The Jester’s Dance have really caught my ear and imagination. In Flames emotions are reflected through Moonshield.
