Now signed to Immortal’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Battles In The North” leads Immortal’s back-to-school campaign. Battles In The North isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It has been eight years Immortal’ last studio CD, “Battles In The North” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Smart music for smart people.
At The Stormy Gates Of Mist the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Through The Halls Of Eternity is probably one of Immortal’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Moonrise Fields Of Sorrow which is my favorite is a truly Immortal sounding song. Cursed Realms Of The Winterdemons is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Throned By Blackstorms is one of these floating songs. I listened to the opening track Grim and Frostbitten Kingdoms and liked it a lot. Descent Into Eminent Silence is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Circling Above In Time Before Time - I just love it. Blashyrkh (Mighty Ravendark) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
