Il Gardino Armonico - ensemble in Baroque music on original instruments.’s debut, ‘Concerto in D major, RV 94′, does not fit easily into one genre. Concerto in D major, RV 94 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lead single “Allegro” and “Largo” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Concerto in D major, RV 94 is not something you should pass up.
Lyrics of Largo are precise and evocative. Allegro is a strong cut, one of many.
