Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Hybrids on ‘Orca’. Aquarium carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. When you buy a Hybrids album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
In De Koralijne Schijndiepten - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Hybrids. I hope to keep hearing Hybrids works for a long time to come. It took me a little time but I ended up loving In The Wake Of The Great Sea-Serpents. As always, Hybrids’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Archeozoicum has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Some of the arrangements found on Aquarium are surprisingly edgy. Wailing For The Whales is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy.
