Lead single “Erster Schatten” and “Der Letzte Wille des Elias Alder” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is no doubt that Hubert Von Goisern has talent. On the Turkey charts, superstar Hubert Von Goisern’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Der Letzte Wille des Elias Alder is the most memorable and marvelous. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Kurzes Gl from the beginning to the end. I now have Komm Oh Tod du Schlafes Bruder as one of my personal favorites. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Ersteliebe because the melody in the chorus is so good. It’s such an underrated song. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Schlafes Bruder - Film Musik is Dein Wille Geschehe. Damals - This is a very lively song. The sound in Mein Wille Geschehe is really warm and Hubert Von Goisern’s signature voice is still very much present. Elsbeths Lied is a great opener for Schlafes Bruder - Film Musik. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Zweiter Schatten. Peter is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Am Stein have really caught my ear and imagination. Once Fahrt Nach Feldberg gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
