This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by House Of Pain. This is the first studio album from House Of Pain since bad diagnosis in 1992. It’s natural for House Of Pain to take a stab at ‘Salutations’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. House Of Pain is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Jump Around can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what House Of Pain is all about. Put Your Head Out is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. After few listenings I started to like Top O’ The Morning To Ya more and more. Commercial 1 - To me, this is the best song on the Fine Malt Lyrics. House and The Rising Son is absolutely incredible. Shamrocks and Shenanigans is the funkiest number on the album. House Of Pain Anthem is simple, dignified and effective, House Of Pain refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Danny Boy, Danny Boy is my favorite song on Fine Malt Lyrics. Guess Who’s Back is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Commercial 2 is a fine track on any terms. Put On Your Shit Kickers is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. I now have Come and Get Some Of This as one of my personal favorites. After about the third Life Goes On listen through, I began to believe this song is House Of Pain’s essence. One For The Road is one of my favorite songs by House Of Pain. Feel It marked the continuation of House Of Pain in style evolution. All My Love pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. House Of Pain is one of artists that allow his songs like Jump Around (Pete Rock Remix) to stand on their own and be heard. Shamrocks and Shenanigans (Boom Shalock Lock Boom/Butch Vig Mix) is the amazing blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
