This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Hot Tuna has. Double Dose isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There were many famous songs of Hot Tuna available. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning
Lyrics of Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning are precise and evocative. I listened to the opening track Embryonic Journey and liked it a lot. I Wish You Would gives taste of what makes Hot Tuna special as a musician. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Extrication Love Song is one of my favorite songs by Hot Tuna. First time I heard Talking ‘Bout You was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Overall a nice softer song. I hope to keep hearing Hot Tuna works for a long time to come. The song Bowlegged Woman, Knock-Kneed Man ending is my favorite… so catchy! I See the Light has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Hot Tuna’s strong vocals come to the fore. Watch the North Wind Rise is a fine track on any terms. Such hits like Sunrise Dance With the Devil will leave you hooked. Hot Tuna must have run out of lyrics on the next track I Can’t Be Satisfied.
