five years ago, Hot Chocolate briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Man To Man”. This disc has all of the essential Hot Chocolate classics. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Hot Chocolate on ‘Heaven Is The Back Seat Of My Cadillac’. To me Hot Chocolate is the best band ever.
Man To Man as a highlight of The Rest Of The Best Of Hot Chocolate contains a ton of exquisite melodies. I have all of Hot Chocolate’s tracks and You Could’ve Been A Lady is probably the most his introspective effort. Rumours is probably the most interesting track on The Rest Of The Best Of Hot Chocolate. Mary-Anne marked the continuation of Hot Chocolate in style evolution. You’ll Always Be A Friend gives taste of what makes Hot Chocolate special as a musician. Mindless Boogie (4:18) - awsome. Heartache No. 9 (Extended Remix) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Cheri Babe is the more seemingly obscure song on The Rest Of The Best Of Hot Chocolate that bear up best to repeated listening. Going Through The Motions is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Hot Chocolate ever produced. Blue Night is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. I find myself hearing bits of Every I’s A Winner (Groove Mix) here and there throughout my waking hours. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with You’ll Never Be So Wrong. Music of I’m Sorry is gentle, never overbearing. Hot Chocolate sings Chances in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Tears On The Telephone - A nice song. Love Me To Sleep - Okay, I just talked about depth. You Sexy Thing (Remix) catches attention immediately,
