Since Herbie Hancock last CD (Dis Is Da Drum) on ForeFront Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. For older fans Dis Is Da Drum will put a massive smile accross your face. Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, Herbie Hancock comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is what good Jazz should be.
Opening track Dis Is Da Drum shows the best of Herbie Hancock. Blew our minds when we first heard Shooz. The Melody is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Mojuba is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Butterfly have really caught my ear and imagination. Juju - A nice song. Hump good vocals. Come and See Me is just simply stunning. Rubber Soul presents the cool mix of instruments on Dis Is Da Drum. Bo Ba Be Da catches attention immediately,
