Since Henry Mancini last CD (The Days Of Wine And Roses 2) on Capitol Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Henry Mancini. This is the first studio album from Henry Mancini since bad diagnosis in 1995. If you love Henry Mancini as much as I do, then Henry Mancini The Days Of Wine And Roses 2 is the CD for you!
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I believe Just For Tonight is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. Music and lyrics of Days Of Wine And Roses creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Music of Too Little Time is gentle, never overbearing. I love the melodic melody of Bachelor In Paradise and to this day it makes me feel good. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Charade. Latin Snowfall gives taste of what makes Henry Mancini special as a musician. I think The Pink Panther Theme is the best song Henry Mancini has ever done. Henry Mancini allows each song to breathe and flourish. It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Shamora) is one of my favorite songs by Henry Mancini. Piano And Strings is Henry Mancini’s best work in years. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Days Of Wine And Roses 2. Soldier In The Rain - I just love it. How Soon is the most memorable and amazing. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. I loved Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars the first time I heard it. Come To The Mardi Gras is the more seemingly obscure song on The Days Of Wine And Roses 2 that bear up best to repeated listening. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Henry Mancini has astounded me with this amazing track. In Moment To Moment you won’t find any flashy solos. Something For Sophia is the first taste of the new album. We’ve Loved Before is the albums biggest surprise. The Swing March is outstanding work of Henry Mancini. Henry Mancini rocks harder than ever with In The Arms Of Love. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Days Of Wine And Roses 2 is Cherokee. A great put together song.
