After seeing Geburt, I had to have a good Haus Arafna cd. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Haus Arafna’s new album to that on ‘Blut’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since Haus Arafna last CD (Blut) on Sparrow Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Exciting stuff.
I came to like Blot out Your Soul. Blood is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. The Hell of a World next Door is a great opener for Blut. I can’t stop humming along And Justice for All. This track is full of harmonies and gets Blut off to a relaxing start. This song is dynamic and dramatic. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Haus Arafna allows each song to breathe and flourish. I like to sing along with Satan Organphosphor Shock, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Opening track Swastikas Kommando shows the best of Haus Arafna. I love the melodic melody of Oradour sur Glane and to this day it makes me feel good. They never more open their Eyes is a bit of a show-tune.
